Quality Initiative Programs

Part of our commitment to creating a high-quality child care and preschool program leads us to develop what we call Quality Initiative Programs (QIP). These programs go beyond the basics of child care to really support and enrich the lives of the children and families with which we have contact.

Growing to Ground Greenhouse

The Growing to Ground Greenhouse connects young children from birth to school age to the natural world through our greenhouse and surrounding garden space within Northfield, MN, where children experience hands-on STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) growth year-round.

Seeds of Extension

Seeds of Extension - A Two Wishes Child Care project to strengthen children, families, and community.

Each month, a high-quality activity with materials extending learning on one or more of our themes is sent home with families. The Seeds of Extension project is free to full-time clients. Part-time and drop-in clients are able to purchase the Seeds of Extension projects at cost.

Self-Addressed Stamped Envelope Program

Clients may bring in self-addressed stamped envelopes to Two Wishes Child Care and place them in the “for caregiver” section of their mail folder. They can have as many envelopes as will fit (and as many different addresses as they want)! As we paint, color, draw, and do other art projects, we will mail off the “signed” and dated artwork to our clients’ loved ones so that they can proudly display their little Picasso’s work on their fridge.
